Megaupload is back with more power!

After being thrashed by the US government last year for piracy, megaupload has hit back stronger and they are back with more power and features. The owner Kim Dotcom recently tweeted the news that the old megaupload.com is re-born as Mega. As per Kim’s tweet the network faced huge bandwidth increment in very short time ( 0 to 10 gigabit in 10 minutes!); which says that it is going to be a hit.
By choosing to be a non US company, the owner played safe and also came up with a business model that is safer to run longer. This time Kim tagged the company as a cloud storage service, rather than a file sharing platform. Big players like Google and Dropbox already have established their businesses with the same tag. So how does the new Mega perform? Only can the time tell, but it looks promising. They have a much better User Interface this time (which is unfortunately much slower too) for a better experience. As for the security, the website now encrypts all the files. The Alexa rank for the company went up crazily and has made it to the top 5000 sites already( currently 4241). This goes to show what we can expect from Mega in near future.
Kim Dotcom reported on Twitter over 100,000 registered under the first hour, speculating that this may prepare Mega the fastest-growing startup in history.Kim Dotcom additionally reported on Tweet, that Mega was getting thousands of consumer signups per minute. He later reported Mega having more in comparison with 1 thousand registered customers, and SIXTY uploads entire every second. 3 days later that figure was updated to 500 uploads every second.

Read the article. Crisp and fine. Though terms like “cloud storage service” go over head.
